You may have found my site from a friend, social media site, recent camp, workshop or even a google search, whatever the case…I am so glad you are here! I want to share a little about myself, and to answer the most frequently asked question, “How did you get into this business?” Thanks for taking the time to checkout my site and learn more about what I do and how I can help you.
Officiant and Master Life Coach

In addition, Dena has a variety of additional training and certifications (curious? Just ask…)
Dena spent 18+ years in the corporate world and brings those years of event management experience into her role as an Officiant. Dena understands the protocol and structure that is required when dealing with all types of events and people and brings a professionalization that is calm, steady and ready to help.
As Your Officiant:
As your Officiant I honestly have the best seat in the house! I love creating this bubble between me, the bride and the groom…it is a place where the bride and groom can just look at each other, be in the moment and have this magical intimate moment (in front of your friends and family).
I work with couples of all faiths and traditions (religious, spiritual, secular) and travel throughout the Seattle/Puget Sound area.
My work is all about creating your dream ceremony that shares the story of you as individuals as well as a couple. I love getting to know my couples and then drawing out all the little nuances in the relationship and creating an intimate and memorable ceremony specifically for the couple.
I am someone who connects through emotion…it is my goal for the ceremony to truly be the “heartbeat” of your wedding day. I am often tweaking the ceremony so that it perfectly embodies the couple and their journey. Meeting couples and then being a part of their special day as they commit their love and devotion is something I don’t take lightly and I am grateful to be a part of a couples journey to “I DO”.
My Beautiful Family and Heart Work:
My husband and I have been married for 12 years and Foster/Adoptive parents for 8 of those years. Together we have weathered the roller coaster of life from being a blended family to raising children with developmental trauma and special needs to deaths of parents and loved ones to seeing our “Big” kids graduate high school, go off to college and the Navy.
I love that in all the beautiful, chaotic mess of our life, I still fall asleep holding hands with my best friend.
7 is my husband and my favorite number, I have 7 stones on my wedding ring and I have always felt we were supposed to be a family of 7…with our current foster son, we have met our magical number 7. Through our journey with foster-care and adoption, we have been blessed to adopt two boys, the youngest with Autism.
I have a heart for working with mama’s (and families) raising special needs kiddo’s and travel several times a year to work with families who have adopted kiddos or have specials needs kiddo’s.
I can also be found speaking on important topics related to brain health that include self-care, mindset, the brain-gut connection, parenting, relationships and brain nutrition.
I am afraid of heights, snakes are my spirit animal and yet I am scared of them. I love a good cup of coffee in the morning before the rest of the house wakes up, I love horses and chocolate (but not necessarily together…) and I love all things Brene Brown.
